• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment.
• Performing surgery, dressing, and treating wounds, and prescribing medication.
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases.
• Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed.
• Prescribe medication.
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care.
• Conduct home visits occasionally, in case of emergency.
• Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics.
• Maintaining and updating patients’ medical records.
• Assisting veterinarians in examining and treating animals
• Performing laboratory tests by taking blood samples
• Preparing animals for surgery
• Assist vet to administer medications
• Cleaning and maintaining medical equipment and keeping the veterinary hospital clean and organized.
• Monitoring animals in recovery
• Assisting with diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, ultrasounds, or other diagnostic images.
• Providing emergency care to animals, such as administering first aid or resuscitation efforts.
• Cleaning animal cages and kennels, and ensure that they have a comfortable resting place
• Feeding food and water to the warded animals following specific instructions from the vets
• Assist with basic animal care tasks, such as walking dogs, changing bedding, and administering medication
• Maintain inventory of supplies such as food, bedding, and cleaning materials
• Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital, including disinfecting surfaces and equipment and disposing of waste
• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, making them feel welcome and comfortable
• Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to messages in a timely and professional manner
• Manage client personal particulars and update medical records accurately
• Handle payments and prepare invoices for services rendered
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk
• Interact with clients and sell animal health products
